The International Democratic Federation of Women (FDIM) for Latin America and the Caribbean issued a statement in which it strongly condemns the recent aggressions against the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro and the legitimate right to self-determination of the Venezuelan people.
In the letter, the FDIM expresses “our total solidarity and support for the Venezuelan people and their Government, who face with dignity and resistance the economic, media and political war imposed by external forces with the objective of destabilizing and subverting their democratic and social revolution.”
For his part, the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, in his account on the social network Telegram, stressed that “on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro Moros and the Venezuelan people, we deeply thank the International Democratic Federation of Women for their expressions of solidarity and commitment.”
“This support shows us that only through the mobilization and unity of all of us can we continue to defend our sovereignty and dignity in the face of imperialist aggressions,” he emphasized.
