The Register of Freight Transport Operators is essential to guarantee legality and safety in land transport, a procedure regulated by the National Institute of Land Transport (INTT), which establishes a series of requirements and procedures that must be met in order to obtain it.

On the legal basis, the process for granting the ROTC is based on the powers conferred by the Land Transportation Act on the INTT, in its article 23, paragraphs 6 and 16.

In addition, articles 97 and 128 of this legal instrument govern the certification conditions for the provision of this service.

The vehicles that must have ROTC are those that in their mode of loading must have this registration, including: pickup trucks, closed vans (panel type), trucks, tractor trucks (shot), trailer and semi-trailer.

This documentation is necessary, whether or not you are providing the service, the INTT Register of Freight Transport Operators is an essential process for those who wish to operate legally in the field of land cargo transportation.

The request must be digitized from the Register of Freight Transport Operators, the procedure is carried out exclusively online. Applicants can access the website www.intt.gob.ve, where they will find the Single Procedure Form, through which they can request the original registration, updating and renewal of this document.

The INTT believes that it is crucial for stakeholders to familiarize themselves with the platform and follow all the steps indicated to avoid inconveniences.

This request is automated, but the granting and renewal of the ROTC requires a technical review of the vehicle, which must be carried out in person at the main headquarters, at the 75 offices of the INTT or at the special operations deployed in the national territory.

For the request to be approved, it is essential that the vehicle intended for the transport of cargo be inspected by authorized personnel from the corresponding INTT area.

The inspection verifies that the vehicle complies with all established regulations and standards to ensure safety when transporting cargo by road.

Applicants must ensure that they have all the required documentation on hand during this inspection, which can be carried out at any of INTT's 75 offices, at its headquarters, or at special operations.

Regarding the restriction for natural persons with more than three vehicles, it is important to consider that if the applicant is a natural person and has more than three registered vehicles, their application will not be approved.

This measure seeks to regularize the number of vehicles operated by individuals and promote responsible use of the service, therefore, it is recommended that individuals evaluate their situation before making the request.

By entering the Single Form of Procedures of the INTT, the owner of a vehicle will be able to know if it is in a previously registered fleet.

If you are in this status, you can request disincorporation in person, at any of the 75 INTT offices, headquarters or special operations.
