Iran: Affirmed that Israel will be punished for attack on consulate

On Wednesday, the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, warned Israel that it “will be punished” for the April 1 air strike against his country's consulate in the Syrian capital that left a balance of seven members of the Revolutionary Guard.
“The Israeli government made a mistake, it must be punished and it will be punished,” Khamenei said in a speech after prayers in Tehran after the Eid-al-Fitr prayer.
Khamenei assured that the attack on the consular annex of the Iranian embassy in Syria ignored international commitments that guarantee the inviolability of diplomatic offices.
