Iran and Venezuela review bilateral ties and ratify their commitment to the defense of sovereignty

Iran and Venezuela reviewed their bilateral ties and reaffirm their positions with the defense of territory, sovereignty and security of both nations

During a telematic meeting with H.E. Ali Chegueni, ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Caracas, and the diplomatic corps accredited to that legation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, was informed about the current state of bilateral ties between Iran and Venezuela.

The Ambassador of Iran took advantage of the virtual meeting to express his appreciation for the work and commitment of diplomatic officials who are accredited in Venezuela.

The meeting was attended by Mahdi Sobhani, Deputy Minister of Administration and Planning, and Zahra Ershadi, Director General for the Americas of the Foreign Ministry, as reported by X, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Caracas-Venezuela.

At the meeting, the head of the mission in Caracas presented an assessment of the efforts undertaken and the ongoing projects aimed at consolidating the alliance between the two nations.

During his speech, the Foreign Minister of Iran ratified the unwavering stance of his Government in defending the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Venezuela.

He also expressed his full conviction that the Venezuelan people, by maintaining national unity and cohesion, will preserve their independence and supreme interests in the face of illegal measures imposed by the United States.
