Iran assures the UN that the US violated the action plan of resolution 2231

During the Security Council of the United Nations (UN), the diplomatic delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized that the United States has violated the Plan of Action of resolution 2231; therefore, they cannot accuse Iran of non-compliance.

“With the support of the United Kingdom, Germany and France, the US government has violated the resolution and they are the cause of the current situation, since it cannot impose extraterritorial sanctions,” said the spokesman.

In the same way, he specified that Israel's accusation that Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities are an imminent threat is unfounded, and has no predicate basis. In this regard, he indicated that Israel, which is not a party to the NPT (Non-Proliferation Treaty), has rejected the IAEA inspection, while the Islamic Republic of Iran has complied with the treaty in question.
