The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baqai, denounced Israel's attack on Sana'a International Airport, in the eponymous capital of Yemen, as a war crime, in which it destroyed a commercial passenger aircraft.
In a statement, he strongly condemned the bombing carried out this Wednesday by the Israeli regime against the Yemeni airport. He stressed that the aggression constitutes another proof of Zionist hostility “towards the Muslim nations of Western Asia.”
According to Al-Masirah TV, operated by the Houthi group, Israeli warplanes hit the runway of Sana'a airport and a Yemenia Airlines aircraft in four attacks, destroying the airline's last remaining commercial aircraft in Yemen.
The incident occurred one day after Yemen launched two ballistic missile attacks against military troops of the Israeli regime in the occupied territories of Palestine.
