The first vice-president of Iran, Mohamed Reza Aref, reiterated that his country will have an immediate response against its enemies, should Israel generate new attacks against its territory.

“Today we are in the aftermath of an imposed war. We are not in a ceasefire, but in a state of ceasefire, so we must be prepared to face the enemy at any time,” said Reza Aref, referring to the new conflict of June 13 after the unprovoked attack in Tel Aviv and on Iranian territory that lasted 12 days.

Aref stressed that Tehran bases its strategy on “solving problems through negotiations”, but he does not know if “the other side believes in them”.

“The strategy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is that we are not the ones who started the war, but that its end lies with the Iranian nation, and the preparation against the misdeeds of the enemies is carried out with the help of the academy,” he said.

The vice-president emphasized that academics must create a dynamic environment, by assuming responsibility for strategic issues, in addition to their scientific and research tasks, and the training of human resources.

At the same time, he added that Western powers are trying to dictate their policies to other countries. “Freedom, Human Rights and Western Civilization, which they impose on the world, are based on the fact that everything one person says to another, they must obey.”
