Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) strongly condemned the recent assassination of two HAMAS commanders in the Gaza Strip. Israeli air strikes ended the lives of Mohammed Odeh, the newly appointed head of the military wing, and veteran leader Ezzeddin al-Haddad. Both died along with their families in selective bombings that have considerably increased tension in the region.

The Iranian leadership described the events as a sign of the nature of Israeli operations and warned that regional peace will be unattainable under the current model of intervention. Far from weakening Palestinian factions, the IRGC maintained that these events only reinforce the determination of the resistance in its struggle for the liberation of the territories. The organization also questioned the position of the international community in the face of what they consider to be systematic violations of human rights.

The Revolutionary Guard described these diplomatic initiatives as ineffective and harmful, arguing that they do not curb the military offensive or Western support for Israel. According to Tehran, the lack of tangible results and the failure to fulfill the promises of recovery for Gaza demonstrate that such proposals lack real political will.

This escalation of rhetoric comes in a context of military intensification by Israel over Hamas' infrastructure. Faced with the ineffectiveness of the ceasefire attempts, the Iranian government reaffirmed its absolute support for the axis of resistance against the occupying forces. Tehran's position underlines a clear intention to confront the current political architecture designed to manage the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
