Iran's Supreme Leader Orders Direct Attack on Israel

Ayatollah Ali Hoseini Khamenei, the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, ordered a direct attack against Israel in response to the assassination of the leader of the Palestinian movement Hamas, Ismail Haniya, in Tehran, reports Russia Today (RT).

The order was given during an emergency meeting of the Higher National Security Council held shortly after the news broke of the assassination of the leader of the Palestinian movement.

Ayatollah Khamenei instructed the commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to draw up a defense plan in the event of an attack on the Jewish country or Esr.

Officials from the Persian country indicated that a drone and missile attack against military targets in the vicinity of Tel Aviv is being contemplated, which could be carried out from Iran and other fronts with allied forces, such as Yemen, Syria and Iraq.
