The Gaza Strip experienced a night of intense violence where the Israeli army carried out actions that resulted in the death of at least five journalists and approximately one hundred civilians. This escalation of aggression occurred in the context of the start of the Israeli military operation called "Gideon's Chariots “, which has intensified hostilities in the region.

The communication professionals who lost their lives in these recent events were identified as Abdul Rahman al-Abadilah, Aziz al-Hajjar, Ahmed al-Zainati, Khaled Abu Saif and Nour Qandil. These journalists were victims of Israeli air strikes that hit various areas of the Gaza Strip within a few hours.

These regrettable events bring to at least 222 the number of journalists who have lost their lives in Gaza as a result of Israeli attacks since the beginning of the current cycle of violence. This situation develops after the announcement by Israel of the start of the “Gideon Chariots” operation, which has involved an increase in air and ground attacks directed against the civilian population in the Strip, the Telesur website reported.
