Jorge Rodríguez: A work agenda is drawn up to advance a process of national dialogue

The president of the National Assembly (AN) and secretary of the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, reported that the Program for Peace and Democratic Coexistence is working to create a work agenda to strengthen the state of well-being, tranquility, security and harmony in the country.
He announced that this work agenda will be discussed next Monday, February 09, in order to advance a process of national dialogue.
“The biggest cry that Venezuelans have right now is the maintenance of peace,” he stressed, referring to the meeting with representatives of opposition political parties, in order to specify paths of encounter for the defense of peace and stability of the Republic, especially the territorial sovereignty of Venezuela.
Rodríguez commented that it is a matter of creating the basis for relations between the opposition sectors and the Bolivarian Revolution.
In this regard, he emphasized that the central objective is to build an agenda that offers sufficient guarantees for the political participation of all, strengthening trust, understanding and institutional stability as pillars for lasting democratic coexistence.
He specified that the meeting was with the political representatives of A New Time (UNT); Union and Change; Venezuelan Force; Movement for Socialism (MAS); Bridge Party; Change in Peace; Pencil Alliance; Let's Go Venezuela and Neighborhood Force.
“With all the representatives of these parties, we had a first discussion to advance the areas of Venezuelan politics in all its aspects,” he said.
This was stated by Rodríguez at the end of a meeting with the Commission for Democratic Coexistence and Peace, in order to consolidate a work agenda to strengthen peace, sovereignty and the right we have to seek common paths to the future.
Rodríguez pointed out that mechanisms for political participation are being created with sufficient guarantees, so that all those who wish to do politics do so without obstacles, except those established by the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
He also urged not to use political participation to promote violence, actions by Venezuelans against Venezuelans or aggressions against Venezuela, but to settle the nation's internal affairs.
