Jorge Rodríguez aspires that the Amnesty Law be approved unanimously in Parliament

The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, said that he hopes that the Amnesty Law will be approved unanimously in Parliament.

“The Amnesty Law is the initial contribution of the revolutionary forces, for the beginning of the national dialogue,” Rodríguez said in a post on his X account.

This Thursday in the National Assembly, the First Discussion of the Amnesty Bill for Democratic Coexistence will take place, in accordance with the provisions of article 104 of the Internal Regulations and Debates of the National Assembly.

On January 30, the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, proposed to promote a general Amnesty Law that covers the entire period of political violence from 1999 to date.
