The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez wrote from his account on the social network X, regarding the physical departure of the social fighter and senator of Colombia, Piedad Córdoba.

“A good woman leaves behind, a tireless fighter for the noblest causes of the Colombian people, who courageously pointed out decades of opprobrium and pain imposed by homicidal oligarchies. Peace wherever you went to bring out your smile, dear Piedad,” he said.

Córdoba, a renowned social fighter and great leader, died this Saturday afternoon, January 20, in the city of Medellín at the age of 68.
