Jorge Rodríguez: We need guarantees from political organizations against violence

The coordinator of the Peace and Democratic Coexistence Program, Jorge Rodríguez, stressed that in this instance the political issue is fundamental for organizations for electoral purposes to commit themselves not to encouraging violence or foreign interventionism.

“There are 11 Enabling Laws and two pardons, between the Fourth and the Fifth Republic, in any case what we would like is for this Law to be a powerful and powerful message of the intention of a new political moment and also to enhance and accelerate dialogue between political, social, cultural and economic sectors of the country,” said the president of the National Assembly,

He also stressed that the results of this dialogue process will impact the functioning of the State, as well as the Legislative Branch, however, he specified that it is inclined to include the issue of Human Rights in an organic code and not in a political law.

“We need guarantees that you can have free will and participate in any political organization, with whoever you want, wherever you want, but that political actors also give a guarantee that acts of violence that have done so much damage to the country will not be reconvened,” he said.
