This week, the Basic Tourism Workshop was held, led by specialists from the Municipal Tourism Institute (IMT) of the Mayor's Office of Caracas (AC), in the La Fuga Bike Park Multimodal Mountain Bike Park, located in the Felipe Acosta Urbanism, Coche Parish of Caracas, where more than 30 people from the community and staff of this park participated.

In this regard, Danny Ramos, manager of the Marketing Area of La Fuga Bike Park, explained that the importance of this local tourism workshop “is because it is one of our main service offerings, which seeks to be one of the main tourist attractions in the city of Caracas, given the conditions we have such as: the viewpoint, hiking and other service offers that complement this economic activity”.

For his part, Eliud Baudim, General Director of the La Fuga Multimodal Mountain Cycling Park, pointed out that they are a group of entrepreneurs who are betting that the country can grow with this type of initiative, “so we need training to reach the highest levels, I hope that you are the multipliers of all knowledge and to be able to show La Fuga nationally and internationally”.

He also reported that training workshops in tourism are beginning with the Municipal Tourism Institute of the Mayor's Office of Caracas, “in order to strengthen the policy of communal tourism, to contribute to the Bolivarian Economic Agenda in engine number 9, that of Tourism, because we are destined to win and grow.”

Lidis Marcano, Training and Training Manager at the IMC, stressed that the important thing about the workshop is to motivate the Fuga Bike Park community to join and integrate into this wonderful project that meets the expectations of a tourism segment, such as cycling.

He stated that the idea is that they envision Caracas as a tourist city, through sustainable, sustainable and conscious tourism, since it is a dynamic activity, which is why the “Caracas is waiting for you” Tourism Plan was created.

During the workshop, a dynamic developed in which the participants created the concept of tourism, grouped between three or two people. “Tourism sensitizes the population to care for the environment and nature, boosts the local economy, generates profitability through gastronomy, lodging and travel, as well as peace and relaxation. It projects the natural beauty and cultural traditions of Venezuela to the world,” said Dayker Martínez, a member of La Fuga.

José González, manager of Tourism Products and Services at the IMT of Caracas, detailed the 5 A's of tourism and said that they are: “Accommodation, Food, Attractiveness, Accessibility and Animation”.

For her part, Yesenia Borges, a participant in the workshop and resident of Felipe Acosta Urban Planning, said that she found it very enriching where she could have knowledge of tourism, “it encourages us to learn more about this, to get to study and work”.

He also learned that La Fuga Park is a good place to publicize a sustainable venture and project. “Besides, it's a spectacular place, full of opportunities for work and participation for the people who live here.”

María Peña, a resident of the sector, said that the workshop was excellent and she thinks it's good “that this community is being approached by professionals to give more information about tourism for the area, which is an excellent project that they have been developing and will generate employment for the community, as well as for the city and will generate a point that they can come and visit”.

He learned about the experience of tourism, how to treat people and bring the cuisine and culture of Caracas to customers. “I invite you to come to this park located at kilometer 7 of La Panamericana, surrounded by nature and you can spend an incredible afternoon camping and riding bicycles in the mountains and seeing a great view of Caracas.”
