La Guaira and Táchira are the leaders of the closed Foursquare Finals of the Apertura Tournament

Deportivo La Guaira and Deportivo Táchira are the leaders of their respective group, after the 5th round of the final home runs of the 2026 Apertura Tournament of the first division of Venezuela.

For home run A, the Orange Machine beat Portuguesa FC 0-2 at the José Antonio Páez stadium, in Acarigua, with a double from Martín Gianoli in the 16′ and 32′ minutes.

In the other bracket Academia Puerto Cabello defeated UCV FC 2-1 at the La Bombonerita stadium. The winning goals came in the final minutes of the match courtesy of Daniel Saggiomo at 90+1 Geronimo Bortagaray 90+3. While Kendrys Silva scored 48′ for the locals.

With these results, La Guaira is the leader with 7 points, beating Academia who has the same number of points by goal differential. While UCV is in third place with 6 points and Portuguesa in fourth with 5 points.

In Quadrangular B, Carabobo FC and Táchira scored 1-1, at the Misael Delgado stadium, Valencia. The local team opened the scoring through Edson Castillo at 75′ and Luis González tied it at 90′ on penalty.

For their part, Estudiantes de Mérida fell 0-1 at home to Metropolitanos FC, with a goal against Jean Gutiérrez in the 8th minute.

This home run is also led by the Aurinegro team by differential goal after scoring 8 goals, the same number as Metropolitanos and Carabobo, the last place is occupied by students with 3 units.
