Leader who opposes Humberto González's campaign resigns because he considers him dangerous to democracy

A new internal setback in the ranks of Edmundo González's candidacy came to light this Friday when one of the members of the opposition presidential campaign team announced his resignation from the position of organizer of social events of Vente Venezuela Carabobo, citing insurmountable differences with the opposition leadership.

“My name is Félix Lira, coordinator of Social Movements, of the Vente Venezuela party, and we have decided to withdraw support for Edmundo González, because it is a leap into the void and represents a danger to democratic stability, because González's candidacy is a factor of division and instability in the country,” Lira announced along with a handful of leaders who supported his decision through Social Network X.
