Legislative Council of Aragua appointed Aurelio Ramón Liendo as chronicler of Santiago Mariño

In a significant event for culture and history, the Legislative Council of the state of Aragua officially appointed Mr. Aurelio Ramón Liendo as the new chronicler of the Santiago Mariño municipality of the entity.
According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, her appointment is the result of a rigorous selection process that received numerous CVs from highly qualified candidates.
The decision was taken by a special commission made up of Mariñense authorities, which was implemented for these purposes, whose members emphasized the relevance of Liendo's new role in the preservation of local heritage.
Among the personalities present during the appointment ceremony were the mayor in charge Carlos Guzmán; the president of the Municipal Council, Yohan Rojas, the councilors Mónica Herrera, Claribel Lugo, Johan Zambrano, José Gregorio Herrera, Luis Vivas and the chamber secretary, Dulce García.
In this regard, Councilwoman Nardy Martínez, president of the Commission on Education, Culture, Sports, Worship, Religion and Historical Heritage of the Municipality of Mariño, expressed her satisfaction with the appointment.
“On May 2, 2025, the chronicler of the municipality of Santiago Mariño was appointed. After a hard work of selection, Mr. Aurelio Ramón Liendo, a prominent historian and teacher with more than 25 years of experience, was chosen for this important position,” he said.
Martínez highlighted the trajectory of Liendo, who has held various political and managerial responsibilities in the municipality.
