Local government deploys special road safety and management device in Barquisimeto

The mayor's office of the Iribarren municipality (Barquisimeto), in Lara state, deployed this Thursday a special safety and road management device on the main avenues of Barquisimeto, as part of the actions of the City Plan.

The deployment of police commissions was carried out simultaneously at strategic points in the west, center and east of the capital of Larense, with the purpose of addressing the arteries with the highest traffic flow and avoiding the obstruction of public space by private drivers and public transport, details a local press release.

The work in the field was coordinated by the general director of the Iribarren Municipal Police (PMI), Colonel Orlando Gómez, who stressed that these daily operations are primarily aimed at ensuring traffic flow and ensuring free pedestrian traffic in the jurisdiction.

He explained that officials attached to the security force carry out supervisory tasks in high-traffic commercial areas, urging citizens to respect pedestrian crossings, duly authorized stops and exclusive areas for loading and unloading goods.
