Local government is carrying out cleaning and removal of rivers in Ocumare de la Costa due to the proximity of rains

Crews of workers from the Ocumare de la Costa de Oro mayor's office in the state of Aragua are carrying out a day of preventive cleaning, removal and removal of the local river to avoid flooding and damage due to the imminent arrival of the rainy season.

Mayor Wilmer Leal specified that in the Caserío de la Boca del Rio, the work is being carried out in a joint effort hand in hand with the organized Popular Power and the Ministry of People's Power for Water and institutions of the entity's governance.

“The work will be carried out to mitigate the risks of flooding during the rainy season in this area, which has historically been affected by its geography on occasion. We are gradually moving towards El Playón and adjacent areas in order to reach the largest amount of land and provide security and peace of mind to our inhabitants,” Leal explained.
