Local government moves forward with the construction of Aragüeñí parks in Maracay

Regional and municipal authorities in the state of Aragua took the first step in launching “The Parks of Aragüeñdad”, an initiative that not only seeks to rehabilitate cement and asphalt, but also to rebuild the social fabric of Gran Maracay, designing more humane cities under the seal of the Second Transformation (Q2).

The mayor of the Girardot municipality, Rafael Morales, inspected this work together with representatives of the Regional Executive and Organized Popular Power, stressing that the work will be ready in approximately 15 days.

This new park, located in the Tricolor sector of the “Indestructible” San Carlos Commune, in the Girardot municipality

will have two 3×3 basketball courts and one volleyball court, with their respective road plan.

The Aragüeñdad Parks represent a break with the traditional concept of a plaza, where local entrepreneurship has a reserved space, recreation is mixed with health and safety is built through the appropriation of public space.
