Venezuelan Luinder Avila scored his first save of the spring, in the Kansas City Royals' 3-1 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers, in Surprise, Arizona.

The right-hander from Caracas worked for three blank innings and left an ERA at 2.25, made 37 pitches, of which 27 fell into the strike zone, according to the newspaper El Líder.

The Venezuelan allowed three hits, negotiated him a ticket and struck out three opponents, to leave his effectiveness so far this preseason at 2.25 in four episodes of work after two relief appearances.

For Milwaukee, Luis Rengifo, who went 3-1 with a score, and Luis Lara, who led 3-1 with two strikeouts and left his average at .316 (out of 19-6) with OBP of .409, Slugging of .421 and OPS of .830.
