Luis Arráez of the San Francisco Giants recorded his first game of four or more hits of the season on Friday, in the Best League Baseball (MLB) against the Oakland Athletics at Sutter Health Park.

The Yaracuyan went 5-4 with his first home run of the campaign -and with the giants-, a double, a hard run and another scored, to climb the historic lists among Venezuelans, according to the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League press review.

Arráez brought his total number of lifetime encounters to 23 with at least four hits. In this way, he surpassed Magglio Ordoñez in eighth place of all time among representatives of the tricolor embassy, according to Baseball-Reference (B-R).

Ordoñez , who beat “La Regadera” in the lifetime count, compiled his matches in 15 contests, between 1997 and 2011 with two teams, the Chicago White Sox and the Detroit Tigers.

Now his next goal among Venezuelans will be Omar Vizquel who won 24, David Concepción, Bob Abreu and Carlos González with 26 each.

The top 3 is led by Miguel Cabrera with 49, followed by José Altuve with 42 and Luis Aparicio with 40.
