The Marinos de Anzoátegui team completed a valuable victory by defeating Guaiquerís de Margarita in the first game of the final series of the Professional Basketball Super League (SPB) this Thursday, June 11.

The “Oriental Battleship” is looking for its first title since 2015 and they started the decisive instance on the right foot, after overcoming the “tribe” in a duel with a very close ending, reported Venezolana de Televisión.

In the first quarter, the visitors took advantage after scoring 21 points and receiving 17, but in the second quarter the roles were exchanged with 20 units for Guaiquerís and 17 for Marinos, to close the first half 37-38.

In the third quarter, Marinos once again took advantage of the score 20 to 14, to withstand the pressure of Guaiquerís in the fourth quarter, who managed to score 17 points, but which were not enough for him and were defeated at home.

The second match of the Grand Final will be played this Friday, June 12, again at the Gymnasium City of La Asunción (Guaiquerís Arena).
