Mayor Meléndez: 299 Popular and Communal Government Systems have been activated in the capital

In the Fabricio Ojeda Endogenous Nucleus, located in the Gramoven sector of the Sucre parish, in the Libertador municipality, the “Popular and Communal Government Planning Workshop” was held, with the presence of national authorities, where the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, pointed out that 299 Popular and Communal Government Systems have been activated in the capital.

“The new governance is the new method of Popular Communal Government, which is directed from the territory, with the Communes, the Communal Circuits, thanks to this, more than 47 works could be carried out in this endogenous popular complex,” he said.

For his part, the Sectorial Vice President for Social and Territorial Socialism, Héctor Rodríguez, stressed that these workshops are held throughout the national territory, with the intention of providing tools to the organized people for effective governance.

“The idea after this workshop is that we do one with each of the working groups, we bring the ministers to establish the criteria with all the teams, in order to be able to articulate a single government team,” said the Sectorial Vice President.

Rodríguez emphasized the importance of building all these methods through the inclusion of citizenship in each of the stages of conflict resolution. “When you add the citizen who is suffering the problem, in solving the problem, he will always put an additional one on him. When citizens are involved, problems are resolved more quickly, efficiently and effectively.”
