The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, urged the population to participate in the National Enlistment process, stressing that defending the country against any risk is an obligation enshrined in the Magna Carta.
During the meeting held in Plaza Bolívar, Meléndez stressed the need to act in the face of imperial aggression.
He stated that the country maintains a firm and autonomous position. “Nobody should come here to tell us what to do,” he said.
Finally, he quoted the Liberator Simon Bolivar: “When the Clarín de la Patria calls, even the mother's cry is silent.”
