The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, said that carnivals in the capital city each year exceed the previous year.

During his participation in the Balance of Operation Safe and Happy Carnival 2025, Meléndez assured that there was mobility in all the parishes of Caracas, in the communities, in the mission bases, in the different parks.

He stressed that the joy of the people was felt, together with the recreational people. “All the activities that were done for our children were beautiful,” she said.

“The floats didn't just parade down the Paseo Los Próceres, this year we went to the state of La Guaira. It was a beautiful sharing between the two states,” he said.

He also emphasized that more than 500,000 people from Caracas mobilized daily during the vacation to La Guaira. “At night they returned to enjoy Retumba Caracas, which was taking place in four parishes, we had great internal mobility,” he added.
