In rooms 1 and 2 of the Museum of Fine
Arts of Caracas (MBA), the exhibition “The Necessary Creation” by the graphic
designer, photographer, painter and National Culture Award 2022, with the mention of
Photography, Daniel González, was inaugurated.
According to information from the Ministry
for Culture, the posthumous exhibition includes a rich compendium of
photographs, mostly in black and white format; images that show the
sharp vision that this visual artist possessed behind the lens.
During the opening event, the Deputy Minister
of Culture for the Image and Space Arts, and president of the National Museums
Foundation (FMN), Mary Pemjean, highlighted the importance of this recently released photographic exhibition.
“The most important thing here is to enter that
room 1, that room 2, and to be able to feel close again to that Daniel González
who at some point was inspired to do that work. The invitation is for
everyone to come, to please disclose that in museums we are doing
things so that precisely all the Venezuelan people feel inspired and know
that wonderful things continue to happen in culture here in Venezuela,” he said.
For her part, the teacher's daughter, Daniela
González, expressed her gratitude for this exhibition, which represents the
vast legacy left by her father, not only as an art maker, but as a human being.
In turn, he highlighted his father's inspiration for the execution
of his work.
“I understood that all his work is the product of how he lived his childhood, his thoughts, experiences, the way in which he perceived society, politics, the economy with traits of the dark humor that characterized him, as well as the deep connection he had with nature and his own feelings,” he said.
