More than a thousand people from 15 communities (eight Creole and 7 indigenous) benefited from a medical care day developed by the Government of Guayana Esequiba, together with the entity's Foundation for Action.

In this regard, the governor, Neil Villamizar, together with the Single Health Authority, Julio Matos, stressed that this initiative was possible thanks to the support of President Nicolás Maduro, who has promoted policies to guarantee the well-being of the population.

During the day, essential vaccines such as pentavalent, trivalent, toxoid, yellow fever and BCG were applied, with the objective of protecting the health of the inhabitants. In addition, special tests were carried out to detect diseases such as malaria, pregnancy tests and general medical consultations.

<<Governor Villamizar highlighted the importance of bringing State power to communities, promoting citizen participation through community councils and community projects. “The idea is to bring the power of the State, new participation through communal councils and community projects, so that they participate and raise the quality of life of citizens” >>, reported the Government.
