The mayor, Carmen Meléndez, reported that Caracas is fully mobilized as part of the National Enlistment Day, with active participation in the 22 parishes and 299 peace quadrants.

“From every community, from every street, the people of Caracas have come out to confirm their commitment to their country. Nobody bends here. Venezuela is defending itself,” said Meléndez from Plaza Bolívar.

In this regard, the mayor highlighted the coordination between institutions and popular power: “There is cohesion between the people, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and the institutions. Everyone who sets foot on Venezuelan soil has co-responsibility in their defense.”

He also indicated that the National Enlistment Day will be extended to phases of formation and territorial organization.

“This enlistment is not symbolic. It's part of a comprehensive strategy to strengthen national defense from the local level,” he said.
