Men's and women's field hockey teams won silver in Mexico

The men's and women's field hockey teams won the silver medals in the qualifier for the Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo 2026 that took place at the Salamanca stadium in Guanajuato, in Mexico.
The Criollos lost in the grand final to the hosts who were left with the silver metal.
The men's tied 3-3 in regulation time and then fell 3-1 in the penalty shootout. While the women's lost 5-1.
The men's national team had sealed their sixth classification in the Central American and Caribbean Games by dominating the elimination round at 3-1.
The women's team also sealed their way to the CAC in Santo Domingo 2026 by finishing second in the qualifying round with a score of 4-1.
