MEP supports communal assemblies for Popular Consultation on July 12

The president of the People's Electoral Movement (MEP), Gilberto Giménez Prieto, said that the organization supports community assemblies that discuss the projects that will be presented at the Popular Consultation convened for next July 12.

During his weekly press conference, he specified that popular consultations have been consolidated as a tool for the execution of community initiatives, so the party promotes the incorporation of its bases in this process of citizen participation.

“The MEP is present in the communities making its contribution to this new consultation, because it is about meeting the most felt needs of the population, ” he said.

He also stressed that the organization supports the application of priority projects by providing guidance and advice to communities in identifying proposals aimed at improving public services and the quality of life of the inhabitants.

He stressed that the direct allocation of resources will allow communities to execute their projects without intermediaries, strengthening the management of Popular Power and the attention to local demands.
