Mérida cable car is preparing for the tourist flow of Easter 2026

The “Mukumbarí” Cable Car System, located in the state of Mérida, has announced that it is fully ready to receive national and international seasonal workers during the holidays of Holy Week 2026. The system seeks to offer a comprehensive experience that merges local culture with the enjoyment of the natural landscapes of the Sierra Nevada, with the objective of highlighting the beauty and traditions of the Andean entity.
The recreational offer for this season includes a varied exhibition of handicrafts and typical sweets in the different seasons of this important tourist attraction in the state of Mérida, allowing visitors to connect with Merida's identity. In addition, for sectors that seek greater dynamism, extreme sports services and adventure activities will remain active, taking advantage of the privileged natural environment of the national park.
To ensure efficient service, the authorities confirmed that the cable car will operate continuously until Sunday, April 5. The public service schedule will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., ensuring organized and safe logistics for all families and travelers who visit the entity during these holidays.
