Mérida expects to receive more than 30,000 visitors for carnival holidays

The president of the Meridian Tourism Corporation, Inti Sarcos, indicated that he has a projection of more than 65% of hotel occupancy for the carnival holiday, with an estimate of more than 30,000 visitors.

In addition, during his interview on the Al Aire program, he highlighted that the plan of the Government of Mérida has been to diversify the tourist proposal and for this reason they have presented various options for the population such as cycling, paragliding, nature and adventure tourism, as well as in this carnival, the Mérida Extremo Festival stands out, which has many recreational activities.

“Diversifying has been the key, together with the guarantee of good services, so that tourists can come and visit the entire Merida region. We have been successful with this campaign to promote our state, it is important that they come and visit us and can enjoy the highest mountains in Venezuela,” he said.

He noted that theme parks, zoos and recreation centers have had a large influx of visitors over the past few days, who will be open on a flexible schedule for tourists.
