MÉRIDA-LIBERTADOR/Cabello: As soon as the tables close our people must be vigilant

“It is everyone's task to be aware, we must keep an eye out and mobilize everyone we have to mobilize (...) After the elections, what should our people do? Be vigilant to avoid manifestations of violence by opposition extremism.”

This was the call made by the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, during his speech at the close of the massive march in the city of Mérida in support of the candidates and candidates of the revolutionary forces grouped in the Simon Bolivar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB) for the elections of May 25, where Venezuelans will elect governors, deputies to the National Assembly and members of the State Legislative Councils.

From the Andean entity, the leader called for guaranteeing every vote and asked the youth of the PSUV and other GPPSB parties to organize to ensure that older adults, whom he described as one of the main strengths of the Bolivarian Revolution, come to exercise their right to vote.

“Young people, you have a responsibility to ensure that every vote of our grandparents and grandmothers is exercised,” he said.
