The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, led a large mobilization in the Libertador municipality of the state of Mérida in our Andes.

During the campaign activity, Cabello assured that the candidates of the Bolivarian Revolution will win all the seats in the National Assembly and the governor's office in the state of Mérida on May 25.

He also reminded the people of Merida of all the damage that the right wing did to the country when it won the majority of the National Assembly in 2015, which is why he urged the people to vote in favor of the flag bearers of the Fatherland in order to prevent the opposition from trying to hand over our country to foreign powers.

He also criticized the opposition leadership that today intends to win the people's vote with lies.
“Those who are participating today must remember our Town, where they were six years ago; conspiring! Where were they when the National Assembly in 2015? Conspiring against the People!” , recalled while emphasizing that even if they try to hide under the mantle of democrats, Venezuelans know them.

He assured that more than 95% of Venezuelans want to live in peace, while more than 85% reject the sanctions that imperialism, at the request of the right, have imposed on our country.

He pointed out that despite the sanctions, the Venezuelan people have not given up and have stood firm in defense of the Homeland.
“In these remaining 8 days of the campaign, we are going to knock on everyone's door and we tell them, we speak clearly, because revolutionaries have real arguments about what is happening in Venezuela,” he instructed while recalling the efforts of President Nicolás Maduro to obtain medicines to treat patients with Covid-19 during the pandemic.

He stressed that the People's Power together with the different instances of Government must work hand in hand to resolve the different difficulties that may arise in the different communities.

In the same way, from the city of Mérida in the state of the same name, the emotion that overwhelmed the Venezuelan people when they heard of the return of Maikelys stood out.
“The embrace we gave to Mikelys represents for us the loving embrace that we should always give each other, but also, the combative embrace that we never abandon anyone,” he said.

He also criticized the complicit silence of the Venezuelan right regarding the kidnapping of the girl Mikelys Espinoza by North American imperialism.
