MÉRIDA/Candidate for the governor of Mérida announced his Government plan (+Plan of the 7T)

The candidate for governor of the state of Mérida for the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar (GPPSB), Arnaldo Sánchez, held an event in which he announced his government plan, focused on the seven transformations proposed by President Nicolás Maduro, which will be the key to the development of the region.

In this regard, he indicated that the first proposal is based on a model of regional economic transformation and development, which encompasses three fundamental dimensions: agriculture, industry and tourism, according to the PSUV press.

He noted his commitment to elevating Mérida to the category of agricultural power; and for this reason he emphasized that it is essential to move from being simple growers to becoming committed producers. ”

“We must address their problems in order to formulate concrete action plans that facilitate the active participation of producers, peasant councils, community councils and technical bodies, both national and regional,” he said.

Within the framework of the Great Agro Venezuela Mission, Sánchez presented a comprehensive agricultural development that contemplates the consolidation of high valleys as areas of high productivity, as well as resizing the coffee farm and doubling it with new varieties of coffee. In addition, it is proposed to restore to the municipalities of Campo Elías and Sucre their status as producers of sugar cane and to consolidate the par-American axis, taking advantage of their agricultural potential.

In addition, the proposal includes a strategic boost for domestic trade, reinforcing the support and organization of primary producers, artisans, cultivators, the pharmaceutical industry, metalworking and actors in the knowledge economy to stabilize their production cycle and guarantee a quality supply that meets national needs, in addition to opening up export opportunities.

Sánchez also emphasized the promotion of the tourism sector as an economic engine, ensuring that Mérida is positioned as an ecological, cultural and scientific destination, as well as the strengthening of industry and national production.
