Authorities from Mexico and Cuba agreed today to continue promoting safe, orderly, regular migration with full respect for human rights, during a meeting on the subject in this capital.
A message from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on social networks states that the XVII Meeting of the Working Group on Migration and Consular Affairs between the two nations was held at the headquarters of the portfolio.
This meeting was led by the Undersecretary for Latin America and the Caribbean, Raquel Serur, and the head of the National Institute for Migration, Sergio Salomón, from this North American country, and the Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Carlos Fernández de Cossío, highlighted the Prensa Latina website.
According to the text, the commitment to a humanistic, regionally coordinated migration policy focused on addressing the structural causes of migration was reaffirmed.
