The Government of Mexico reported that a series of measures have been implemented to protect the population in the face of the next impact of hurricane Beryl in the country.

At a press conference, the national coordinator of Civil Protection, Laura Velázquez, reported that all necessary forecasts have been taken, including the supply of food, fuel and work equipment.

In addition, constant monitoring of the progress of the hurricane has been established, and temporary shelters have been set up to safeguard the integrity of the inhabitants. Education authorities in the state of Quintana Roo have decided to suspend classes throughout the region due to possible landslides and floods resulting from the climate phenomenon.

For his part, the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrado, assured that they have radars and satellites to be accurate about the hurricane's entry into the country, according to information provided by the Xinhua news agency.

“ Material is always recovered, but the most important thing is lives,” López Labrador emphasized.
