The Bolivarian Government completed the rehabilitation of five water wells, which are located on the Las Vegas and Guayaberos axis, of the Arismendi municipality in the state of Sucre, with the objective of guaranteeing the population of Rio Caribe the continuous supply of water.
The comprehensive project was implemented with resources from both the Ministry of People's Water Power (MINAGUAS) and the National Popular Consultation, including the installation of 10, 15, 20, 25 and 60 HP electric submersible motors and pumps, some new and others repowered, which increases the operation of these water systems.
Each of the wells was incorporated into the drinking water system network that supplies 17,691 families from communities located in the upper parts and in the central area of Rio Caribe, areas that receive service through an Australian pond.
The operational capacity of the wells adds up to a sustainable flow of 65 liters per second, ensuring that the aquifer is not exhausted to maintain its natural goodness and durability over time.
