The Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MINCULTURA) shared the program to celebrate the National Day of Dolls and Rag Dolls, an emblematic date that pays tribute to the legacy of the remembered “Muñequera Mayor”, Zobeyda Jiménez.

Under the motto “Hands, scraps of love and hope”, the National Doll Festival 2026, promoted by the Art Network and the Artisan Heart movement, has maintained an intense previous agenda during the month of January, touring communities, schools and parks throughout the country.

The day of February 2 takes on special meaning as we commemorate a new anniversary of the birth of Zobeyda Jiménez and 14 years since his planting. In addition, the artisanal sector celebrates the second anniversary of the presidential decree that made this date official, formally recognizing those who preserve national history through thread and needle.

As is tradition, the Bolivar squares in each state will become the stage for the Grand Baptism of the Dolls in front of the statue of the Liberator. This symbolic act seeks to honor the artisans and artisans who keep in force the power of traditional creation and the feeling that emanates from the Venezuelan affirmative.

In the capital city, the main celebration will take place at the Art Network's store-gallery, located in Plaza Bolívar. Starting at 2:00 p.m., the public will be able to enjoy a program that includes live music and a meeting with the doll teachers.

Below we share the schedule:
