MINEC and Security Agencies hold 41 tons of hazardous waste in Barinas

The Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism (MINEC), through the participation of State Security Agencies, a total of 41,000 kilos of material considered hazardous waste was retained in the state of Barinas.
The procedure was carried out because there were irregularities in the mobilization guidelines, MINEC reported, on its website, where it specified that the arrest was made as part of the Environmental Supervision and Control Circuits of the National Oversight Committee, which this week focused on verifying circulation guides for “Forest Heritage”, “Environmental Quality and Biological Diversity”, in all 24 states of the country.
The verification operations involved officials from MINEC; the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC); Bolivarian National Guard (GNB); Bolivarian National Police (PNB); Public Ministry (MP) and Forest Fire Department of the National Park Institute (INPARQUES).
During the actions, 179 mobilization guides were reviewed at the national level, of which 153 were for hazardous substances, materials and wastes, five for non-hazardous substances, materials and wastes, 20 were forestry and one for wildlife.
