MINEC preemptively paralyzed the activities of eight non-metallic mining companies in Barinas and Zulia

The Bolivarian Government, through the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism (MINEC), preemptively paralyzed the activities of eight non-metallic mining companies, due to non-compliance with regulations.

Through the execution of the Environmental Supervision and Control Circuits, the interinstitutional multidisciplinary commissions retained between the states of Barinas and Zulia, three heavy machines comprising a Payloader-type front loader, a backhoe and a dump truck, as well as the confiscation of 4 cubic meters (4m3) of sand and gravel.

The deployment had a balance of 84 inspections of establishments, the preparation of 12 administrative records and the summons to appear of 39 people, according to Mineco-Socialism Press.

245 officials participated in the operations, including the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), the Civil Corps of Park Rangers and Forest Firefighters of the National Park Institute ( INPARQUES ), the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), the Public Ministry (MP) and the spokespersons of the People's Power.
