MINEC releases 13 species of wildlife

The Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism (MINEC) released 13 wildlife birds in the Waraira Repano National Park.
The day was attended by the Deputy Minister of Environmental Management, Teresa Carrasquel, who stressed that this activity is the preamble to World Mother Earth Day, which will be celebrated this coming April 22nd.
“In this month, the most beautiful for the conservation of our Mother Earth. We started with the release of wildlife that has been fully cared for by the MINEC Biological Diversity team, together with the Ecogreen Zoocreadery. We work hard for the recovery of our fauna so that the people of Caracas continue to enjoy a healthy, safe and ecologically sustainable environment,” said Carrasquel, quoted in a press release from the ministry.
During the event, after successfully completing their rehabilitation processes, the following specimens returned: five green toucancito (Aulacorhynchus); four military macaws (Ara militaris) and four maracanã macaws (Ara severa).
