With the firm intention of optimizing administrative processes and strengthening support for the productive sector, the Ministry of the Popular Power of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Minesca) and the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA) set up a strategic working table.
The meeting was led by Minister Juan Carlos Loyo, the Deputy Minister of Primary Fisheries and Aquaculture Production, Pedro Guerra, and the president of INEA, Rear Admiral Javier Humberto Quero Pérez, who together with industry spokespersons evaluated critical issues in maritime activity. During the day, key issues were addressed, such as the reduction in management response times, associated costs, the decentralization of procedures and the unification of inspection and technical inspection processes.
As the main line of action, the authorities agreed to deploy technical panels in the country's main fishing ports, guaranteeing the direct participation of the Councils of the People's Power of Fishermen and Aquaculturists (Conppa) to develop solutions adapted to the reality of each territory.
These initiatives, which include short-term measures to boost attention to the sector, are part of the efficiency policies adopted by the national government, under the guidance of President (E) Delcy Rodríguez, aimed at reducing bureaucracy in public administration, consolidating popular organization and guaranteeing the country's food sovereignty.
