This Wednesday, the Ministry of Popular Power for Habitat and Housing (MINHVI) consolidated a technical and union assistance agenda together with the Venezuelan Real Estate Chamber to design stable housing alternatives, prioritizing the care of families affected by the earthquakes of last June 24 in the state of La Guaira.

The ministerial portfolio reported that this institutional effort was joined by a powerful strategic coalition comprised of the Venezuelan Chamber of Construction, the Oil Chamber and the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF).

The multisectoral block explained that the alliance adds operational capacities directly with the National Executive, which will allow both to execute immediate response plans in the affected areas and to plan long-term structural reconstruction throughout the central coast.

The governing authorities concluded by stressing that the first concrete result of this articulation is the establishment of a digital platform that “already registers 196 architecture and engineering professionals, together with an inventory of more than 500 heavy and light machines ready to be deployed”.
