During the tour he took this Thursday along the Pan-American Highway, to oversee the deployment of security and permanent control in the area, the vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stressed the importance of ensuring that the country's police forces have a doctrine that is far from capitalism.

“In capitalism, the police don't take care of the people, they don't care about the people, they see the United States, the police are there to take care of the assets, the companies, the factories,” he said and argued that in the face of this, Venezuelan officials must be different and fully dedicated to the protection of the people.

“We are different, this police in Revolution have to take care of people,” he urged during a conversation he had with police officers who were carrying out their duties in the Altos Mirandinos area.

The Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace also recalled that the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, has emphasized the need to achieve civic-military-police union, and maintained that the best way to guarantee this necessary fusion to strengthen the sovereignty and peace of the Venezuelan territory is “being on the street with the people.”
