This Monday, May 19, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, unveiled a new terrorist plan by the extreme right to destabilize the country in the face of the elections of May 25.
“Groups determined to generate violence in our country have tried to undertake actions that would affect Venezuelans regardless of political status, but with their higher objective of sabotaging the elections of May 25, this coming Sunday, and we fulfill our duty to alert in good time not only to the generating population, but to these groups,” he said in statements to the press.
In this regard, he explained that these groups linked to Mrs. María Corina Machado and the opposition “smoke sellers” planned explosive attacks aimed at accredited embassies in Venezuela, hospitals, health centers, police commands, public service centers, public service centers, personalities of the Bolivarian Government and other opposition sectors participating in elections.
“These are people who have no scruples of any kind, they don't care if there are drawbacks, they (the extreme right) want to have some kind of international resonance, because here we know that in Venezuela their actions have left them outside the law and they are politically and morally disqualified,” he said.
He reaffirmed that, in the face of these destabilizing actions, these criminal groups will always receive a strong response from State security agencies. “At this point, it's not worth asking for time,” he said.
