Minister Carlos Alvarado: Public-private partnership has handled more than three thousand cases of the 1×10 System

With the public-private partnership, three thousand 152 cases out of three thousand 534 assigned by the 1×10 System of Good Governance have been resolved, representing an 89 percent effective response and the projected goal is to reach around eight thousand cases, said the Minister of Popular Power for Health, Carlos Alvarado.

He stressed that this mechanism established to deal with complex cases resulting from the 1×10 Good Governance System has shown successful results, especially in pathologies that require high-tech medical equipment available in the private sector.

During an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Alvarado explained that a work network was formed with 12 private clinics in the country's main cities, together with public insurers such as Seguros Horizonte, Seguros Miranda and Seguros La Previsora, under an agreed scale to guarantee the care of assigned patients.

Among the procedures served through this alliance are:

Kidney transplant.

Adult oncological neurosurgery.

Children's oncological neurosurgery.

Low-complexity surgeries.

Breast cancer surgery.

Oncological treatments with brachytherapy.

Oncological treatments with radiation therapy.

Traumatology operations.

Post-Earthquake Surgeries.

The minister stressed that the alliance also guarantees postoperative treatment, since the agreements include monitoring the patient until final discharge, which he described as a novel strategy that has strengthened response capacity.

He also noted that, although this cooperation has been decisive in resolving complex cases, the public health system still covers most of the procedures in the country, which maintains its central role in the national healthcare network.

Alvarado indicated that one of the main instructions of the National Executive, through the resources that have entered the country, has been to guarantee health care and the income of workers, which has been fulfilled.

He also explained that the progressive availability of these funds has made it possible to advance the comprehensive recovery of the hospital network, as well as to specify the import of high-tech medical equipment, supplies that have already begun to arrive in the national territory to strengthen citizen care.
