Minister for Health: Venezuela has enough doses for the first phase against yellow fever

The Minister for Health, Nuramy Gutiérrez, assured that the country has the necessary stocks to cover the initial phase of the yellow fever vaccination plan, so the deployment is being carried out intensively in the states of Aragua, Barinas, Portuguesa and Lara,

He added that the immunization program has so far registered more than 7,000 people, including military personnel and community members, have been vaccinated in the prioritized states.

In information reported by Últimas Noticias in these entities, care corridors were activated to identify patients at the first level and, in the event of complications, immediately direct them to hospitals that guarantee their definitive treatment.

Gutiérrez specified that, thanks to bilateral agreements with nations such as Brazil and Russia, the country has managed to supply itself with this biological product, overcoming the restrictions of the international blockade.

It also includes emergency mechanisms that will make it possible to receive, in the coming weeks, a larger volume of doses through the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and other international agencies to complete population coverage.
